For property owners, 2021 tax statements and certified values have now been made available on the Benton County Assessor’s website. According to the county’s Board of Commissioner’s Office, all statements were mailed out on or before October 25.
Payments are due by November 15, 2021, with a 3% discount given to property owners who pay in full by this date. Taxpayers also have the option of splitting the payments into thirds, with the first payment due on November 15, the second due on February 15, 2022 and the final payment due on May 15, 2022.
Due to COVID-19, Benton County offices remain closed to the public. However, the Tax and Assessment offices are open for business, and are reachable by phone and online.
Taxpayers may choose from a variety of payment options, including paying at drop box locations, through postal mail, online or by phone.
Two drop box locations in Corvallis include a drive-up option, located at 4077 SW Research Way, and a walk-up option, located at 205 NW 5th Street outside of the Board of Commissioner’s office. The Oregon State Credit Union’s Benton County branches and the Umpqua Bank in Monroe also accept tax payments, as long as taxpayers bring their payment coupons.
Taxpayers who wish to pay by mail can send payments to Benton County Tax Office, P.O. Box 964 Corvallis, Oregon 97339. For a payment to be considered on-time, it must be postmarked by November 15.
Payments can also be made online here, or by telephone at 1-866-898-2918.
Contact the Benton County Tax office at 541-766-6808 for more information on tax statements and payments.
