From Bad to Verse: Game of Life, Fear of Heights, Notes on Conformity

Reflexive My hands act quickly to respond Such versatility But with reflexes always come Great response ability

Game of Life

If you think that you have it all figured out

Then you’re like the rest of the fools

Life isn’t like any other game

You must play it to learn the rules

Fear of Heights

As your career takes off one day

I hope you will recall

That the top rung of the ladder

Is the easiest place from which to fall

Conformity

Salmon swimming upstream

Against strong currents unbowed

Do it simply because

They’re going along with the crowd

Stand Tall

We want break free from the strings that bind us

It’s true for me and true for you

But remember as you work towards this goal

Just what happens when puppets do

Perspective

“When you change the way you look at the world”

“The world does the same to you”

They told me to make note of this

And start my life anew

“That’s food for thought,” I said out loud

A most insightful phrase

So I decided to sleep on it

Now the world sees me sideways
