The Corvallis School District has a vacancy on the Budget Committee for a three-year term that ends June 30, 2024.
The Budget Committee consists of seven members appointed by the Corvallis School Board – two of the positions were filled last November – plus the seven elected School Board members.
Members review the District’s proposed budget, listen to public comment, recommend needed changes, and then approve the budget total and tax rates to be forwarded to the School Board for adoption.
Applicants must live and be registered to vote in the Corvallis School District, and not be an officer, agent, or employee of the District. Positions are non-partisan, unpaid, and are not connected to any specific region within the district.
Business meetings are normally scheduled on Thursday evenings between April and June. New appointees are also expected to participate in an orientation session, while members with expired terms may request reappointment.
