AARP Offers Tax Help to All

AARP Foundation is offering to prepare and file both your Oregon and Federal taxes for free, regardless of AARP membership status.

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is directed at people over 50 who have a low to moderate income, but is open to taxpayers of all ages. Those who wish to use the service are welcome to schedule an appointment with IRS-certified volunteers either virtually or at several locations in Corvallis, Philomath, and Albany. Appointments are required.

The trained AARP volunteers will be able to help with most tax returns, but may not be able to assist with more complicated returns like those that involve small businesses, rental income, or alternative minimum tax.

To schedule an appointment, go to www.aarpfoundation.org/taxhelp, or call 541-602-5829 for locations in Corvallis and Philomath, or 541-791-6714 for locations in Albany.

Availability differs at each location, but local AARP Tax-Aide representatives say appointments are limited and are filling up quickly. See below for more information on each location.
