On Saturday, March 28, Corvalisites are being welcomed to come together with millions of Americans across the country in a third No Kings National Day of Nonviolent Action to protest our country’s slide toward authoritarianism and abuses of federal power.
No Kings III in Corvallis will feature activities at three locations:
OSU McNary Field, 250 SW Campus Way (noon – 1 pm). McNary Field is the green lawn area at 11th street and Monroe on the east side of OSU.
Central Park, including the Arts Center Plaza, 650 NW Monroe Ave (noon – 3 pm)
Benton County Courthouse and a few blocks north and south along 4th Street (noon – 3 pm)
A sidewalk parade will leave from the west side of McNary Field at 12:30 pm and head to Central Park, and then commencing again at 1 pm from Central Park to the Benton County Courthouse.
Speakers
Activities at Central Park include speakers, music and interactive art for people of all ages. The following speakers will be featured at the Central Park Gazebo from 1-1:30:
Jazmin Florez, Party for Socialism and Liberation
John Schoenhals, Party for Socialism and Liberation
Rick Staggenborg, Soldiers for Peace International and Veterans for Peace
Joseph Orosco, OSU philosophy professor; director of Peace Studies; and president of United Academics of OSU.
“For No Kings III in Corvallis, we’re offering a ‘choose your own protest’ type event. People are welcome to join in activities at any of the locations,” said event organizer Karen Shell. “Plenty of people will be lined up along 4th Street the whole time. Others may join in the sidewalk parade, and some may hang out at Central Park. Our goal is to provide multiple ways for people to participate.”
“We are expecting the largest protest turnout in the history of Corvallis,” added Shell. “People are fed up with the current administration’s violent, authoritarian actions. We’re bringing our community together to send a simple but powerful message: We don’t do kings or dictators in America.”
Participants are encouraged to walk, bike or use public transportation since parking is limited. This event also includes a food drive.

According to organizers, No Kings is a mass, nonviolent movement that has already mobilized millions — from over five million participants on June 14, 2025, to over 7 million people joining 2,700+ events across all 50 states and the District of Columbia on October 18, 2025 — and is growing as communities unite to reject authoritarian power grabs and defend dignity and freedom.
This event has developed widespread community interest. Our reporting that it will be taking place does not indicate support. The event and it’s goals may or may not reflect the views of The Corvallis Advocate, and its management, staff, supporters and advertisers.
