Oregon Humanities’ annual Public Program Grant seeks to support programs in Oregon that “explore challenging questions and strive for just communities,” and is currently open for applications.
The Public Program Grant funds expenses including, but not limited to, event rental space costs, supplies and materials, event planning, and advertising for events like lectures, cultural events, community dialogues, and more.
This year, a total of $125,000 will be awarded to programs in Oregon, with a maximum award of $10,000 per organization. Organizations that have historically been underserved like those led by rural communities, or BIPOC communities will be prioritized when awarding funds.
To be eligible for the grant, applicants have to be incorporated as a nonprofit organization in Oregon or be a federally recognized tribe in Oregon. Organizations that aren’t nonprofit can apply as long as they’re registered as a charitable organization in the state.
Applications are due on March 7. For more eligibility requirements and additional information, click here.
