It started as a $60,000 contribution to our local food banks from the Benton Community Foundation. It was a response to the SNAP benefit crisis.
And, now through Dec. 31, 2025, all donations made to BCF’s Community Giving Fund will be directed to help provide food and essential resources to individuals and families across Benton County.
“In response to the ongoing SNAP benefit crisis, the Benton Community Foundation is calling on our community to come together and support local neighbors in need. Your contribution—no matter the size—will make a meaningful difference for our neighbors experiencing food insecurity,” said a release from the group.
Annual Community Grant Cycle opens December 4th
Along with their appeal for contributions for local food banks, the Foundation also announced, or properly reminded, that their annual community grants cycle will open soon. Dec. 4 to be specific.
