We have two sets of bus route changes for you, the first are just for this Saturday’s OSU football game, and the second are permanent changes that take effect later this month.
DETOURS FOR SATURDAY, SEPT. 9
Outbound Detour for Routes 3, 8, and Philomath Connection:
Depart Downtown Transit Center, south on 5th Street, west on Jefferson Ave, north on 9th St., west on Monroe Ave, north on Arnold Way, west on Harrison Blvd, south on 35th St., west on Western Blvd, resume regular route.
Outbound Routes 3, 8, and Philomath Connection Stops out of Service During Detour:
15th St. & Jefferson Ave. – During the closure the nearest available stop is the Downtown Transit Center.
15th St. & Washington Way – During the closure the nearest available stop is the Downtown Transit Center.
Western Blvd. & 16th St. – During the closure the nearest available stop is the Downtown Transit Center.
Western Blvd. & 26th St. – During the closure the nearest available stop is the Downtown Transit Center.
Western Blvd. & Grove St. – During the closure the nearest available stop is Western Blvd & 35th St.
Western Blvd. & Poplar Pl. – During the closure the nearest available stop is Western Blvd & 35th St.
Inbound Detour for Routes 3, 8, and Philomath Connection:
Eastbound on Western Blvd, north on 35th St., east on Jefferson Way, north on 26th Street, resume regular route.
Inbound Routes 3, 8, and Philomath Connection Stops out of Service During Detour:
Western Blvd & 35th St. – During the closure the nearest available stop is 26th Street & Jefferson Way.
Western Blvd & Grove St. – During the closure the nearest available stop is 26th Street & Jefferson Way.
26th St. & A Ave. (LaSells) - During the closure the nearest available stop is 26th Street & Jefferson Way.
26th St. & Washington Ave. - During the closure the nearest available stop is 26th Street & Jefferson Way.
Inbound Detour for Route 6:
Westbound on Western Blvd, north on 11th St., east on Jefferson Ave., resume regular route.
Inbound Route 6 Stops out of Service During Detour:
15th St. & Western Blvd – During the closure the nearest available stop is a temporary stop at Jefferson Ave east of 11th St.
15th St. & Jefferson Ave. - During the closure the nearest available stop is a temporary stop at Jefferson Ave east of 11th St.
Jefferson Ave. & 11th St. - During the closure the nearest available stop is a temporary stop at Jefferson Ave east of 11th St.

The city says these changes are intended to improve consistency in the on-time performance of our buses…
Route 2 Service
- Route 2 will provide 40-minute service between 11:20 am and 4:40 pm on weekdays. The first departure for “Midday Service” leaves the Downtown Transit Center at 11:20 am and the last Midday Service run departs at 4:40. Before and after those times, the current schedule will apply. This will NOT apply to OSU’s Winter, Spring, and Summer breaks. Saturday and Sunday service will not change.
Route 6 Service
- Route 6 will provide 40-minute service between 11:20 am and 4:40 pm on weekdays. Route 5 Service
- Route 5’s Sunday runs will depart the Downtown Transit Center at 15 minutes after the hour.
As a result of this schedule change, bus pairings for Routes 2, 3, 5, and 6 will also change.
- Route 3 and Route 5 will be paired. This means that the buses that operate these two routes will “flow through” at the Downtown Transit Center and change to service the other route.
- Route 2 and Route 6 will be paired. This means that the buses that operate these two routes will “flow through” at the Downtown Transit Center and change to service the other route.
