Corvallis Advocate’s ‘If it looks cattywampus tell us’ Service Notice

Hey everyone, if you see something on our website that looks sort of cattywampus or odd, could you let us know? We’ve switched servers and made some internal backend changes. It’s been a process, and it’s a work in progress.

We had to make this change. We started seeing noticeably slower download times last week, and we want our readers to have a better experience than that. Spikes in CPU usage appeared to have been the culprit, but we also have some outdated code that we’re working on as well.

If you see something, please email us at office@corvallisadvocate.com. It’s been a few years, but the last time we did this it only took a few days to get everything fully sorted, and having our readers tell us what they were seeing was a huge help. Thanks everyone.
