2023 Oregon Senior Games. Various Locations in the Greater Corvallis Area, Corvallis. 8 a.m. Various Entry Fees. Athletes ages 50+ (National Senior Games qualifying age) can compete in several sports offered. The Oregon Senior Games are a great chance to test your mettle against other seniors while enjoying a getaway to beautiful Corvallis, Oregon. Whether you’re a super-competitive athlete or just someone looking to stay active, the Oregon Senior Games is a great event to add to your must-do list! Weekend One (Aug. 10-13) includes Archery, Bowling, Golf, Pickleball, Power Walk, Race Walk, Racquetball, Table Tennis, and Track & Field. Weekend Two (Aug. 17-20) includes Disc Golf, Softball, Swimming, and Tennis Cycling Time Trial, and 5k/10k Road Races. Bard in the Quad: Much Ado About Nothing. Memorial Union Quad, Oregon State University, 2501 SW Jefferson Way, Corvallis. 7:30 p.m. $12-$17. Bard in the Quad returns for its 18th magical season with Shakespeare’s beloved comedy featuring the will-they-or-won’t-they pairing of Benedick and Beatrice, two wits who have sworn off love only to find themselves in an unexpected romantic entanglement. Summer Friday Night Concert Series: David Rogers. Cardwell Hill Cellars, 24241 Cardwell Hill Dr., Philomath. 6 p.m. $10. Join Cardwell Hill Cellars for a Friday night concert. Concerts are 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and the suggested check-in time is 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be cheese, salami, crackers, and Burst’s Chocolates available for purchase (as well as wine, of course). Fun Friday Goat Yoga. No Regrets Flower Farm & Animal Sanctuary, 26641 Bellfountain Rd., Monroe. 6 p.m. $25.  Join a one-off goat yoga session every Friday night, June 9 through Aug. 25, 2023! Goat Yoga is part yoga, part animal-assisted therapy, and part beautiful views and loving animals. It’s about disconnecting from day-to-day stress, illness or depression and focusing on happy vibes. No yoga experience is needed. Join in on a Goat Yoga class at No Regrets Farm Sanctuary in Monroe, located between Eugene and Corvallis. Merely Players present Love’s Labour’s Lost. Lumos Wine Co., 24000 Cardwell Hill Drive, Philomath. 6 p.m. $15 – $17. Merely Players present William Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost under the shady oak trees at Lumos on Friday, August 11th at 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. The King of Navarre and his two best friends are huge nerds, and they make a pact to spend three years studying together while ignoring worldly pursuits. Unfortunately, the King is so excited to launch his own little academy that he forgets that the Princess of France and her ladies are about to arrive on an important visit of state. Farmer’s Market, 1st & Monroe, Corvallis. 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. The Corvallis Farmers Market happens Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 9am to 1pm, April through November, on First Street in downtown Corvallis. The Farmers Market offers fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy and more, all sourced locally from Benton County and the counties immediately surrounding Benton County. Fiechter House Open House. William L. Finley National Wildlife Refuge, Finley Refuge Rd., Corvallis. 10 a.m. – 2p.m. Donations Welcomed. The John Fiechter House, also known as Failing Cottage, is believed to be the oldest house in Benton County. It’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Visitors to the William L. Finley National Wildlife Refuge will be able to visit and tour this historic 1855 pioneer house every Saturday, July 8 through Sept. 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and learn the history of one of Benton county’s early families. The Fiechter House is located on Finley Refuge Road, across from the red Cabell barn. Visitors can also stop in at the refuge’s Nature Store for directions. Saturday Stories. Main Meeting Room, Corvallis-Benton County Public Library, 645 NW Monroe Ave., Corvallis. 10:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. Free. Saturday Stories is a Storytime for children of all ages. Storytime is a drop-in program: first come, first served. Space is limited due to the room capacity and to provide a positive, safe environment for all. Children must be accompanied by a grown-up. Many lasting friendships start at Storytime. 

Artisan Market. Common Fields, 545 SW 3rd St., Corvallis. 12 p.m. – 7 p.m. The Artisan Market at Common Fields is a monthly vendor fair for local artists and artisans and is held on the 2nd Saturday of every month from noon to 7 p.m. Up to 20 vendors from a variety of artistic fields are participating, including painters, photographers, wood workers, jewelers, ceramic artists, fiber artists and glass artists.
