Community Health Centers Board of Directors Meeting. 6:30 p.m. The Community Health Centers of Benton and Linn Counties Board of Directors meets every third Monday from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.  The CHCs provide patient-centered primary medical care that focuses on the whole person and provides a medical home that promotes and supports health and wellness. The meeting is open to the public and anyone interested in serving on the board should contact patricia.conklin@bentoncountyor.gov for more information on the application process. Joint Ward 4 and Ward 5 Meeting. 7 p.m. Please join City Councilors Gabe Shepherd (Ward 4) and Charlyn Ellis (Ward 5) for a neighborhood meeting. City Manager Mark Shepard will also be in attendance. Browse fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables as well as other produce from a variety of vendors every Tuesday evening from May 2, 2023 to Oct. 31, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be vendors selling animal products, vegan desserts, gluten free items, crafts, drinks, jams, pickles, plants, mushrooms, plants and more. Many items are ready to eat. The Corvallis Community Band resumes its summer tradition of Concerts in the Park beginning Tuesday, June 20 and then weekly through the end of August. Concerts will start at 7:30 p.m. These free concerts are themed and offer a variety of music suitable for enjoyment of the entire family. The Corvallis Farmers Market happens Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 9am to 1pm, April through November, on First Street in downtown Corvallis. The Farmers Market offers fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy and more, all sourced locally from Benton County and the counties immediately surrounding Benton County. Everyone deserves a great love story, but for 17-year-old Simon Spier, it’s a little more complicated. He hasn’t told his family or friends that he’s gay, and he doesn’t know the identity of the anonymous classmate that he’s fallen for online.
