Kickoff concert will be at Common Fields. This free concert will feature Nathan Wahlgren (Keydet Piper), Fionnghal, The Nettles, raffles, and a roaring good time. Ten percent of all Common Fields sales for the day will support the festival. Music in the Park: Revel’n. City Park, 299 S 23rd St., Philomath. 6 p.m. Music in the Park is a free concert series held at City Park in Philomath. Concerts take place on the 3rd Thursdays and the last Sundays of each month, May through August, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This concert series is fun for the whole family. Bring a chair and relax in the lawn while enjoying a variety of music. There will be free family activities sponsored by the library on May 18, July 20, and Aug. 17. Watch the sun set over Mary’s Peak as pianist Matt Cooper performs a concert featuring a blend of European classics and American jazz. His concert will include Debussy, Ravel, Scarlatti, Chopin and Gershwin as well as jazz pieces by Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk, Billy Strayhorn, and other composers of the Great American Songbook.
