CASS hosts Microsoft’s Rikki Gibson Webinar Thursday. 12 p.m. A day in the life of an open source language developer | April 6th @ Noon | Zoom Live. Rikki is an amazing person with remarkable insight. You won’t want to miss this incredible and real-world look into a day-in-the-life of industry. Bring your questions to this ask-industry-anything session hosted by students from the OSU Center for Applied Systems and Software (CASS) and be prepared to learn about exciting developments happening in open source with this OSU alum working as a developer of the C# language at Microsoft. OSU Swing Club’s Shim Sham Workshop. Memorial Union Building (MU), 013, 2501 SW Jefferson Way, Corvallis. 7 p.m. $5. Come learn the most popular lindy hop swing line dance: The Shim Sham! This choreographed routine is known by dancers around the world and includes many popular solo jazz steps. Great lesson for absolute beginners and experienced dancers as we will be teaching variations on the moves! After the lesson, we will have an open dance practice with club leaders around to answer any questions and offer feedback.
