Grab a provided wagon or a wheel barrel and have fun picking the best pumpkins you can find in the U-Pick Patch. The maze can be muddy This year their Corn Maze will also be a Scavenger Hunt. Purchase $5 tickets at the shop (babies and toddlers are free) search for all the black boxes throughout the maze, use the hole punches to punch your ticket and return to the Shop for a Free Gourd as a Prize! Spring Creek Project is honored to co-sponsor the seventh annual Champinefu Lecture Series. “Champinefu” is the Kalapuya name for the lower Marys River Valley area now called Corvallis and Philomath in Benton County, Oregon. Each year, topics and speakers are chosen by the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde. We invite you to the first event in this year’s series, “Willamette River: Ancestral Highway,” which will include a video about Canoe Culture at Grand Ronde and the Tribe’s relationship to the Willamette River. Hispanic Heritage Month – Craft Afternoon: Hojalata (Tin) Art. Main Meeting Room, 645 NW Monroe Ave., Corvallis. 10:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. Free. In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, join us as we learn about the history of hojalata art, then create your own Mexican Folk Art to take home. Hojalata art is a type of ornate tin art that is celebrated for its color and craftsmanship . It is made by crafts people in Mexico using colorful segments and embossed tin pieces. This style of artwork dates back as far as the 1500s and the beautiful designs vary by region. All materials will be provided during the program. This program is for children ages 5-13 and families.
