Teal Co-operative Art Gallery. Downtown Corvallis, 328 SW Second Street, Corvallis. 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. The Teal Co-operative Art Gallery has a reputation as the place to shop for hand-crafted, unique, made-in-Oregon gifts. Each year their team of dedicated Oregon artists transform an otherwise vacant and lifeless store front into a world of color, light and beauty, open for business during the months of November and December. On display and for sale are some of the finest works in fiber, leather, pottery, jewelry, glass, metal, wood work, mixed media, paper, and soap that the central Willamette Valley has to offer. A portion of the Gallery’s sales is donated to schools and programs in the community. Toddler Storytime. Main Meeting Room, 645 NW Monroe Ave., Corvallis. 10:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. Free. Toddler storytime occurs every Wednesday from 10:30 – 11:00 AM and is for children 1-3 years old. Storytime is offered year-round as a drop-in program: first come, first served. Space is limited due to the room capacity and to provide a positive, safe environment for all. Pastega Christmas Light Display. Benton County Event Center & Fairgrounds, 110 SW 53rd Street, Corvallis. 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. From 1981, Mario Pastega had Ole create christmas scenes and the place them in the field surrounding the PepsiCola Bottling plant. Scenes and characters were added each year and community members contributed their displays. When Mario passed away in 20 and the firm was sold, it was evident to the Pastegas that they wanted to continue the Christmas display. Community outreach had individuals or families adopt the weather beaten pieces and return them refurbished to the new home of the display to Benton County fairgrounds on 53rd St.Since the beginning Pastega Christmas display continues to survive and thrive with the help of many volunteers and businesses in our community who have given of their time and talents as well as donations of money and/or materials. Although our display is FREE and non-commercial, the Pastega Christmas Light Display encourages canned food donations for the needy in our local communities.
Movies at the Whiteside: Everything, Everywhere, All At Once. The Whiteside Theatre, 361 SW Madison Ave., Corvallis. $6-$8. 7 p.m. Visit the Whiteside Theatre for a movie night! Join the Assistance League of Corvallis for a magical evening of shopping, delicious food and drink, raffles, and a supreme silent auction. The Assistance League is pleased to present this festive holiday celebration in conjunction with Corvallis merchants. The evening includes exclusive shopping discounts, fine food sampling, and Oregon beer, wine and coffee. The event takes place in an elegant, heated tent with a fabulous silent auction, popular Assistance League food mixes, and cards and prints from Jan Roberts-Dominguez.
