Corvallis will celebrate The Great Gatsby with three events that we know about so far. Two of them are free.
The Great Gatsby Movie & Craft
Saturday, Sept. 13. 2 to 4:30 p.m. Main Meeting Room, Corvallis Public Library. Free.
Celebrate 100 years since the publication of The Great Gatsby with a movie watch party and crafting afternoon. Watch The Great Gatsby (2013, PG-13) and make 1920s inspired crafts. Snacks provided. Open to teens and up.
The Great Gatsby Party & Dance Lesson
Saturday, Sept 19. 6 to– 7:30 p.m. Main Meeting Room, Corvallis Public Library. Free.
An after-library hours Great Gatsby-themed party for teens and adults. Participate in a 1920s costume contest, Great Gatsby trivia contest, enjoy snacks and a mocktail, and learn to dance as Gatsby and friends would at one of their roaring parties with the choreographer of The Majestic Theatre’s production of The Great Gatsby.

The breathtaking glamour and decadent excess of the Jazz Age come to the stage in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel, and in Simon Levy’s adaptation, approved by the Fitzgerald Estate.
