Corvallis Fall Leaf Collection Program Begins

The City’s Fall Leaf Collection Program for 2022 began Monday, October 17, 2022 and will run through the week of December 5. During this time, Republic Services will pick up leaf piles once a week, usually on the same day as normal garbage pickup although if you have concerns about when, check the map of the areas and days here

A few rules:

  1. Fill your yard debris can first before leaving any piles in the street.
  2. Once your yard debris can is full, place leaves into long, narrow pile in parking areas about one foot from the curb – do not rake leaves directly into the street.
  3. Make sure leaves do not block catch basins or storm drains.
  4. Grass, branches, limbs, and other yard debris cannot be left in the street.
  5. Do not park near the piles of leaves.
  6. Do not block bike lanes with your leaves.
  7. You cannot use blowers to blow leaves into the street at any time in Corvallis.

Leaf piles should be made the day before your collection day so as to not block spaces for too many days.

Additionally, Public Works will be expanding street sweeping to include both sides of the street during this program time.
