Corvallis Library’s Holiday Book Sale Starts Friday

An opportunity to find the perfect gift for all the readers in our lives and help our fair burgh’s library; yes please. The Corvallis-Benton County Public Library’s annual Holiday Book Sale is upon us. And yes, you can also buy yourself a little gift too.

As always, the sale is organized by the Friends & Foundation of the Library. It’s happening Friday and Saturday, Dec. 5 and 6 in the main meeting room at the Corvallis Library, 645 NW Monroe Ave. Sales benefit activities and programs at all library locations: Alsea, Corvallis, Monroe, and Philomath.

The sale is open to everyone from 2 to 6 pm on Friday, and 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday.

As usual each year, expect hundreds of high quality used and new books for all ages, including a large selection of children’s books. In our experience, you can also expect books in good condition and suitable for gift-giving. There will also be CDs, DVDs, and book bags for sale,

Keeping it fun, there will be refreshments and a craft activities table.

Some special offers

Buy a kids’ backpack and pick out a free children’s book. Also, anybody who has donated $20 or more to Friends & Foundation of the Library in the past year can get in early during the donors-only hours, noon to 2 pm on Friday. Donations may be made at the door.
