From Bad to Verse: Safe From Drowning, Obfuscation, Graduation

Safe From Drowning

Your shallow thoughts
It can be said
Will never, ever
Reach your head

Obfuscation

Here’s some advice
I think is a keeper
Muddying waters
Makes them seem deeper

Problems and Pleasures
Problems seem greatest in anticipation
But keep in mind, for good measure
They aren’t any different in that regard
Than treasure

Fishy Character

Deep sea divers

Seeking treasure

Function well

Under pressure

Graduation

So it is graduation day

A time that once seemed far away

Now after this hip hip hooray

It’s time to do your thing

We all await your expertise

Some educated strategies

The world is yours, here are the keys

They’ll open anything

I Think

The scariest people on Earth today

I can tell you within a blink

Are the ones who know nothing at all

But clearly think they think

A fully formed thought, they’ve never had

Their neurons, disconnected

And when they speak their minds out loud

They need to be corrected

These people act without a thought

And the reason the world’s on the brink

Is because of the people who think they think

At least it is, I think
