From Bad to Verse: Up in the Air, Comcast Death, Fish Story

Up in the Air

Though loftiness is what

Their travel evokes

Flight attendants really

Are just plane folks

Limerick

Death can most surely unnerve us

Cremate or should someone preserve us?

When Comcast’s Prez died

They took it in stride

And announced there would be no service

Added Limerick

The thief at his trial’s defense

Said the crime didn’t make any sense

Periods and commas

Were taken from dramas

The judge gave him one long sentence

Failure

I feel like such a failure

And here’s the reason why

I love to go fly fishing

But I’ve never caught a fly

Hidden Meanings

Billowing is what a sail will do

Whene’er the the wind fills up it

And also something you will do

If careless with your budget

Purchase means to buy a thing

There are so many cases

It’s also how the bets are made

At all the Greyhound races

A bagel is a breakfast thing

For some it’s much preferred

And also a description of

A kind of harbor bird

A carnation is a flower that

You often give away

And also a description of

The whole US of A

The President leads the country

That isn’t something new

It also is an action that

Auto body workers do

U-turn is a reversing move

With a car or with your legs

And also an instruction for

Making easy over eggs

Television gives to us

Images we can view

And also it’s the kind of thing

That fortune tellers do

Sorghum is a grain that’s grown

To churn molasses out

And also something you should really

Tell the dentist about

Lonesome is the way you feel

When you’re without your honey

And also what a bank will do

With all its vaults of money

Gruesome sights most surely are

Best left unseen and hid

It’s also a description of

What a gardener did

And last, a heron is a bird

Whose long neck earns it praise

And something that bald guys declare

On donning their toupees

And Vice-Versa

My vacuum cleaner

Is broken, yuck

It really sucks

When it doesn’t suck

The End

So I’m finally coming to realize

I’m not going to be here forever

There was a time when I didn’t

Think of that, ever

But, as you get older, your perspective

And other things change in you

Good God, this Dairy Queen

Certainly has a long queue
