City Trash Isn’t County Trash, Kinda: First, this has nothing to do with the County’s Trash Talk Workgroup, and depending on how you look at it, not much to do with a prospective landfill expansion either.
Soooo… The city’s 10-year franchise agreement with Republic Services is nearing the end of its term, and with negotiations upcoming, officials want to know what we all think of the current level of trash services in our fair burgh.
Those interested in giving feedback to the City of Corvallis on how they are currently handling garbage and recycling collection services will have the opportunity to do so. The city’s Public Works Department is asking community members to fill out an online questionnaire regarding the franchise agreement between the city and Republic Services for trash collection.
In a release, the city is seeking feedback on how it might improve the frequency and/or types of services offered in Corvallis through city’s agreement with the company. The questionnaire will be open until May 7 and will take about five minutes to complete. The information collected will go to city staff as they prepare to discuss a new franchise agreement with Republic Services. Click here for the questionnaire.
For questions or more information on this questionnaire contact Public.Works@CorvallisOregon.gov or 541-766-6916.
