Have a Great Little Idea for the Community, City of Corvallis has Grants for Those

Applications opened March 1 for two popular City of Corvallis community grant programs. Each offers its own separate funding opportunities for community projects.

The Empowerment Grant Program provides small cash grants to fund projects and initiatives that improve neighborhoods and forge partnerships to address community issues. Examples of past projects include landscape improvements, neighborhood social events, public art installations, education programs, and training services.

The Green Grant Program offers funding for community-centered projects that move the dial on climate change and promote the actions of the Corvallis Climate Action Plan (CAP).

You can apply now

These are competitive grant programs and applications for both will be accepted until 5 pm, Tuesday, March 31, 2026. Because each of the two opportunities has its own distinct grant objectives and evaluation criteria, the City is encouraging folks to review the objectives and criteria before applying – the links above will get you to the information you’ll need. Also, if you already know all of this you can just apply by clicking here.

Information session

If you would like more information, the City will be hosting an informational session to answer questions about both grant programs at 5:15 pm, Tuesday, March 17. The session will take place over Zoom and will be recorded for anyone who can’t attend.

Neighbors in the Arnold Park area build a neighborhood news kiosk using using Community Empowerment Grant funding.
