In a 319 page plan recently released to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the state of Oregon proposed spending over 80% of its federal funding to improve housing programs for the more than 4,300 units lost to wildfire in the hardest hit eight counties. This would account for $337,828,800 of the $422 million allotted to the state.
The counties specifically listed included Douglas County which suffered from the Archie Creek Fire; Lane and Linn counties which suffered from the Holiday Farm fire; Clackamas, Linn, and Marion counties which suffered from the Beachie Creek and Lionshead fires; Clackamas County for the Riverside fire; and Jackson County for the Almeda fire.
At least 70% of the allocated funds or $280,820,190 must be used to benefit low-to-middle-income peoples.
