If wind damage has ever closed down the annual Pastega Christmas Light display, none of us can remember it, but that’s what’s happened. Event organizers said Monday evening’s high winds did so much damage to the displays that they cannot be fixed by Dec. 31, which had been slated as the last day for the drive-thru holiday lights show.
A Corvallis tradition every year, the price of admission has simply been a can of food for donation.
The show happens every year because community volunteers donate thousands of hours of work to deck the fairgrounds out in holiday lights and displays, and that has been ongoing for over 40 years – if you would like to volunteer, visit the Pastega Christmas Light Display website.
