Sandwich lovers in Corvallis and Lebanon, rejoice! According to Oregon Live, Melissa McMillan’s New York Times-featured pastrami sandwich truck, Pastrami Zombie, is leaving its home in Portland for the Mid-Valley.
The truck has moved a number of times since opening in 2016, with Linn County being the next stop. This move comes after McMillan discovered that her truck was longer than allowed by Portland municipal code. Meaning great news for sandwich lovers of the Mid-Valley.
Featuring “Chicago-style wet Italian beef, juicy cheeseburgers and poached albacore sandwiches,” this cart looks like a bright star for those who are looking for something new they can eat with their hands.
To find Pastrami Zombie, you’ll need to head over to Lebanon and Tallman Brewing, located at 2055 Primrose Street. While you’re there, you’ll find nine other food carts serving a slew of options from burgers to gyros to tacos to Thai. So if the whole party isn’t up for a “sammich” they’ll find something to add to their list of new favorites.
And if you’re on the road and in need of that pastrami high, McMillan has other locations in Ashland at 424 Bridge St. or in Portland at 2137 E. Burnside St.

Correction: In the original story, we said that Lebanon was in Benton County. It is not. In fact, it’s in Linn County, which is still close enough for those who really want pastrami, but all the same Linn is not Benton. Our apologies. We were hungry.
