Peak Sports Hosts Patagonia Worn Wear, Repair Clinic, Thursday

The old maxim to leave no trace takes a practical turn at Peak Sports this week – the downtown adventure outfitter has just announced the Patagonia Worn Wear trailer will be visiting. We’re talking free apparel repairs for any brand, by expert technicians. The idea is to extend the useful life of goods and apparel, rather than having them land in landfills.

The event runs from 2 to 7 pm, Thursday June 8 in front of Peak’s Outdoor Store. Adding to the Patagonia visit, Peak Sports is also hosting a gear repair clinic from 6 to 7 pm.

Hosted by Peak Sports Annex staff, the gear repair clinic will offer guests information and product recommendations for fixing rips and tears, waterproofing, and basic patching for outdoor apparel and gear, such as tents, backpacks, sleeping bags, and other high-wear items.

Peak staffer Nathan Rouzaud saidThe Worn Wear visit is part of Peak Sports’ commitment to sustainability and reducing the environmental impact of outdoor apparel and gear waste. By repairing and reusing gear, Peak Sports and Patagonia aim to keep clothing and outdoor gear out of landfills and promote a culture of reuse and repair.”

Bonus, during the event, visitors will also have an opportunity to sample Patagonia Provisions’ new Kernza beer and meet with other local community partners helping Peak Sports spread the joy of sustainability in the outdoors.

Peak Sports Outdoor Store is located at 207 NW 2nd St, Corvallis, OR 97330. For more information about the event, please visit the event page on Facebook.
