Republican candidates for the U.S. Senate will speak at a forum at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Corvallis Elks Lodge, 1400 NW Ninth St. and the public is welcome to come.
Candidates attending are Chris Christensen, Robert Fleming, Darin Harbick, Sam Palmer, JoRae Perkins and Ibrahim Taher. Republican candidate Jason Beebe will not be attending.
Questions will be taken at the door. Julia Wegner will moderate.
The Republican Primary will be held on May 17, and the winner will face the Democratic candidate, who will probably be the current incumbent, Democrat Ron Wyden, who will be running in his fifth election provided he defeats his primary challengers William Barlow and Brent Thompson.
Thomas Verde and Dan Pulju are also candidates for the Senate seat, and will be on the November 8 ballot.
