What is in a Name?
Nerd alert! Here at The Corvallis Advocate, we are not beneath going full on grade school and using an acrostic to spell out some of what we value most, for ourselves and our community. This week, we digress from our usual help-we-need-money spiel, to plainly and joyously remind you just what your support goes to at The Advocate:

Advocacy: a no brainer, we value supporting those who otherwise might not be heard.
Depth: we dare to go deeper — to investigate an issue from soil and root to all its reaches.
Veracity: accurate reporting is essential to our integrity, and we admit when we’re wrong.
Open-mindedness: while all opinions are welcome, we prize causality over rigid moral code.
Creativity: we refuse to live in the stiff, constricted realm of standard news.
Accountability: we hold ourselves, our community and our area leaders accountable, period.
Tenacity: we’re hard to get rid of, and we’re dedicated to growth, change, and evolution.
Equality: More than just people, we believe equal opportunity matters for all walks of life.
