The Salem Poetry Project is hosting a special online event showcasing Poetics Corvallis on Thursday, Jan. 7 at 7:00 p.m. Each weekly SPP event opens with a featured reader, which this week will take the form of a half-hour reading by Poetics Corvallis – an open reading run by Corvallis arts community, after which others are invited to recite three poems or to read for five minutes, whichever comes first. Interested parties should contact Marc Janssen at the Salem Poetry Project Facebook page.

On the first Friday of every month, Poetics Corvallis hosts their own online open mic event. They look forward to holding their gatherings at the Interzone Cafe once the pandemic has lifted. The public are invited to read as much as five minutes of poetry or short fiction, by the reader or by others, but the organizers request that no music be played.
