Septembeerfest is Back: Local Brews, Live Music

The 13th annual Septembeerfest is back on after its cancellation in 2020 due to the pandemic. The event will take place on Saturday, August 28 at Avery Park in Corvallis from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Nearly 80 brews will be featured this year; they will be announced in the coming weeks.

In 2019, the festival displayed a wide variety of local alcoholic beverages, including “chili beer,” seltzers, and mead — a honey, wine-like alcohol famous for its medieval heritage. The celebration is possible thanks to local sponsors, including Block 15, Sky High, and 2 Towns Ciderhouse.

Tickets are $25 for 21-and-over brew-goers, and free for designated drivers and minors — who must be accompanied by an adult. Ticket prices include eight beverage tokens and a glass. If you decide you want to keep tasting after the first eight, you can purchase additional tokens at $5 for a set of four. Tickets can be purchased (cash preferred) in person at the time of the event, or in advance — either in person at Corvallis Brewing Supply, or on the web at eventbrite.com — tickets purchased through EventBrite are nonrefundable.

Funds collected from the event will contribute towards non-profit organizations such as Linn Benton Food Share and Heart of the Valley Homebrewers. Since the birth of the Corvallis Septembeerfest, over $200,000 has been raised.

Septembeerfest will also feature live music throughout the event. In 2019, performing artists included Blues and Sunshine, The Dan Kaufman Band, and Back Again. 2021’s musical lineup will also be announced in the next couple of weeks.

For Septembeerfest volunteer opportunities, check the event’s home page for sign-up instructions, or message the coordinators your questions here . If you are a local brewmaster and want Septembeerfest to feature your tasty taps, fill out this form.
