Ten Tiny Dances, Saturday at The Majestic

Dancers face the challenge of performing on a stage that is four-feet by four-feet and one and half feet off the ground, AND they are surrounded by the audience, just a few feet away.

The “less is more” principle brings an intense focus to the contained dances. Dancers present ballet, modern, contact improv, tap, jazz, tango, Columbian dances, hip hop, all expressing this year’s theme – “The little black Dress.“

There will also be a companion Tiny Art Show, coordinated by AliceAnn Eberman, selling miniature 4” x 4” artwork in the lobby. This is being billed as a fun community multi-art event, and a Benefit Concert and Art sale for the Majestic Theatre.

Ten Tiny Dances was created in Portland, Oregon in 2002 and continues to be produced by founder Mike Barber and others.

Rated G, Ten Tiny Dances will be at The Majestic, this Saturday, February 7, at either 3 or 7 pm. Adults $19, Student/Senior $17. To purchase tickets, click here.
