Music is the one common language of the world ā a forum for us to feel and think together and separately, without having to say anything. Naturally, one of the first things I did post-election was compile a playlist, which, despite any diffidence, Iām sharing with you now.
While our musical tastes may vary as much as our opinions, we lend our ears for mutual reasons; music is comforting, moving ā an expressive outlet for our f**ked up feelings. Chances are every song on this list wonāt tickle your fancy, but maybe thereās at least a little something for everyone:
⢠Get Together – The Youngbloods
⢠War – Edwin Starr
⢠Itās the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine) – R.E.M.
⢠Mr. Big Stuff – Jean Knight
⢠Whatās Up – 4 Non Blondes
⢠The Times They Are A-Changin⠖ Bob Dylan
⢠Revolution – The Beatles
⢠Everyday People – Sly & the Family Stone
⢠Changes – 2Pac, Talent
⢠Have You Ever Seen the Rain – Creedence Clearwater Revival
⢠F*ck You – Lily Allen
⢠American Idiot – Green Day
⢠Change – Blind Melon
⢠Where Is The Love? – Black Eyed Peas
⢠Volunteers – Jefferson Airplane
⢠Do You Realize?? – The Flaming Lips
⢠Blowinā in the Wind – Peter, Paul and Mary

And two additional entries by the perpetually late Johnny Beaver: Roundabout by Yes, and Poop Ship Destroyer by Ween.
