The Arts Center this Month: Disco Lounge Art Bar, Transformation-Reclamation Adds Poetry Reading, Angel Black’s Daily Sanctuary

Do you have your ticket – that Annual Gala replacement for The Arts Center, or TAC, is upon us, and it is a departure from years past. The vibe is in the title, Disco Lounge Art Bar, and it may be worth the price of admission just to see how they’ve decked out their main gallery for the event, which is set for 5:30 pm, Thursday, Oct. 3.

Beyond the palette teases and ear candy, the 8×8 Exhibit and Sale makes a return alongside the disco, and it runs for a few days after too. This large selection of smaller frameables has become a favorite among artists, and it’s worth more than just a passing peek.

The month also brings a new exhibit to the Corrine Woodman Gallery, Daily Sanctuary from Angel Black. The Transformation / Reclamation main gallery exhibit from artists Daniela Naomi Molnar and Lee Emma Running continues to almost the end of the month and features a companion poetry reading midmonth.

Without further ado, the details…

MAIN GALLERY: Transformation / Reclamation, Daniela Naomi Molnar & Lee Emma Running

Through sustained inquiry and sensorial collaboration with a continuously shifting world, Place and Time are honored and reimagined in the works of Transformation / Reclamation. With paintings, sculpture, and poetry, artists Daniela Naomi Molnar and Lee Emma Running invite healing through the actions of witness, mourning, and immersion in beauty.
