As Corvallis rolls into a third Thursday of the month, that can only mean one thing, the Corvallis Arts Walk is afoot. And happily, the weather is starting to look cooperative. This month’s Walk, or CAW, skews, maybe understandably, toward nature and light at some destinations, and then almost as counterpoint, to dystopia at others. Add to the mix a few locations that seem more playful or craft oriented, and as is often the case for CAW, variety ensues.
Set for, like we said, Thursday, March 19, most of the destinations will be open for 4 to 8 pm, but there are some exceptions. So, you’ll want to take note where hours are stated and in a few instances, you’ll see a reception has also been set for a specific hour as well.

The Arts Center Main Gallery, 700 SW Madison Ave, Open 4-7 pm
Reformation by Kim Smith Claudel. Portland-based artist Kim Smith Claudel returns to Corvallis—where she studied at Oregon State University—with Reformation, a solo exhibition exploring painting as an evolving practice rather than a fixed object. Working across painting, sculpture, and installation, she creates process-driven work that embraces flux, decay, and the everyday, building visual systems that resist completion. In Reformation, Smith Claudel engages The Arts Center’s historic architecture alongside her formative experiences working in the space. The exhibition considers re-forming as both a material transformation and a challenge to the rules we rarely question. Reception from 5:30 – 7 pm.

Paintings from the Suburbs by Ron Walker. With a surrealist slant, Paintings from the Suburbs by California artist Ron Walker explores emotional, psychological, and intellectual responses to the environment he inhabits. Through repetitive imagery and a sharp sense of humor, Walker weaves seemingly incongruent thoughts into the physical world, offering a tongue-in-cheek commentary on the American way of life. Reception from 5:30 – 7 pm.

Corvallis Foundry Gallery, 257 SW Madison Ave, Suite 210
Lucid in the Labyrinth. The mind is a labyrinth. This body of work explores the psyche where whimsy meets the abyss. These are not just paintings, but pages torn from a diary, charting a psychedelic experience of self-reflection. Each piece navigates the push and pull between lighthearted abstraction and darker, more concrete memories. Together they capture the moments of clarity found within confusion, and the haunting beauty of being caught in the echo chamber of your own history.

Adrienne Fritze Art Studio, 460 SW Madison Ave, Suite 12, Second Floor
Empty & Meaningless: the Box Project. This exhibit works to trace the evolution of a participatory art practice that began with small, handmade boxes and expanded into an inquiry about relationship, meaning, and shared presence. Presented through hallway panels of images and stories—including work created with women in prison, at-risk youth, and in the aftermath of 9/11—the exhibition honors both people and process. The installation introduces Shaping the Light Within, an immersive experience with Story Stations for quiet reflection, where visitor contributions inform new artworks.
