From Bad to Verse: Halloween Eggnog, Wayward Leaves, Autumn in the Valley

Autumn’s Up

I’m making Halloween eggnog

It only takes a minute

Just like the stuff at Christmas, but

It has more boos in it

PSL Not So Well

Autumn is the time of year

For breaking out one’s sweaters

But if friends obsess with pumpkin spice

Send them season desist letters

Limerick (Untitled)

The student in class in the autumn

Didn’t learn what his art teacher taught him

Of the statue to Frank

She said do not spank

But he had to go hit rock bottom

One Lie-ner

Wayward leaves end up in the gutter

Fall Color

Colorful trees

Wanna spot ‘em?

As for these

We’ve gautumn

Autumn in the Valley

Oh how I love our weather, wow!

The clouds are near the ground

This fog looks like it’s here for now

Why is your face in frown?

There’s beauty in every single day

Grace in every storm

And if the clouds should go away

The temperature gets warm

A Willamette Valley autumn day

The clouds above just melted

A front just passed on through this way

I’m sure you must have felt it

The birds are southward bound again

Cuz Mother Nature’s calling

And we will see her grandeur when

The golden leaves start falling
