 As businesses and organizations evaluate whether or not they’re willing to risk holding large gatherings, events in and around Corvallis are getting canceled or postponed. Here’s a list of some of the events that are canceled and some that are going on.
As businesses and organizations evaluate whether or not they’re willing to risk holding large gatherings, events in and around Corvallis are getting canceled or postponed. Here’s a list of some of the events that are canceled and some that are going on.  
Canceled Events
Northwest Arts and Air Festival
Albany Parks and Rec has chosen to cancel the festival this year to keep vendors and festival-goers from having to choose between safety and attending a local event. They hope to see everyone next year.
September 12 is Peak Sports’ 50th anniversary, and though the in-person festivities have been canceled, there will still be sales going on. They hope to put together a true celebration next year.
The Septembeerfest that was going to be held at Avery Park over the weekend has been canceled.
CorvallUs Music Fest
The CorvallUs Music Fest that was going to start in September has been canceled as well. Some venues like the Whiteside and Common Fields have either rescheduled or will still be hosting the local bands.
Still Going
The State Fair will still be held this year. All fair-goers will need to wear a mask, except when they are eating or drinking. They ask you to get vaccinated before you come, but will also be holding vaccine clinics.
The Hood to Coast will still be held, but with mask protocol for unvaccinated participants. More information about their safety protocols is listed on their website.
Pendleton Round-up, 8/28 – 9/18
The Pendleton Round-up is still going. The website says they are “in contact with our government officials to make sure we are putting necessary measures and plans in place so that we can have a great 2021 event.” Tickets can also be refunded if you decide not to go.
The last Music in the Park will be held on August 29 with the band DTW. The event contributes to the Philomath Performing Arts Benefit Fund.
Shrewsbury Renaissance Faire, 9/11 – 9/12
Kings Valley will be holding their annual Shrewsbury Ren Faire on September 11 and 12. Tickets are $14 for adults and $7 for seniors and kids under 12.
Common Fields Live Music, 9/1 – 9/5
Common Fields will still be hosting live music this September, with the Common Fields Music Fest running from September 1 – 5.

- 9/3 Jeanne Gregg Band and Space Neighbours
- 9/4 Side Hustle and DTW

Majestic Theatre Virtual Shows
The Majestic Theatre will be holding two virtual shows, the Stars of Tomorrow chamber music group and the Reader’s Theatre play “Other Desert Cities.”
- Stars of Tomorrow runs August 27 to September 10.
- Other Desert Cities runs August 28 – 29.
 
The Whiteside is still showing movies every Wednesday and has live events planned like:

- 10/9 Belinda Carroll Live Comedy
- 10/16 Grand Royale: Beastie Boys Tribute Concert
- 10/21 Girls Night Out – A Magic Mike Experience
